Route notes, tolls and stops
Handy halt points on the way: Chandigarh, Mandi, Kullu. 2 toll plazas (around Rs. 190 total). All tolls and state taxes are included in your Sairgah upfront fare, so you pay nothing extra to the driver. Monsoon (July to September) can bring landslides on the hill section; Sairgah drivers monitor road status and carry buffer time. Winter (December to February) may require chains or 4WD on high passes.
